Easter Sunday...2011

Easter was a wonderful time this year.  We went to church Sunday morning to celebrate Jesus' resurrection.  What a message we heard from Bro. Randy, our pastor.  After church, we went to my parents' house for lunch.  We had lasagna, corn on the cob (which both girls ate 2 cobs a piece), bread, and key lime pie for dessert.  Below are a few pics of our family from Easter Sunday.

After lunch, we all went home and took a 3 hour nap!!!  It was WONDERFUL getting to sleep that long and much needed.  When the girls woke up, we went over to John's parents to have a little egg hunt.  Both girls had a fun time and got lots of goodies, including money!!!  I wish I could have hunted some eggs with money.  :)

Jaylee decided she needed to have a popsicle while she hunted eggs.

If you look closely, you can see a yellow chick poking out of the top of Cameron's shirt.  She insisted this chick helped her find so many eggs.  :)

Notice the amount of eggs in Cameron's basket...

Now, check out the amount of eggs in Jaylee's basket...something is not right with this picture!  :)

Easter Party at Little Learning Ranch

Cameron attended her last Easter Party at Little Learning Ranch.  This year, Mrs. Trish asked if we would bring Lovey Girl (the girls' bunny) for all the kids to see.  Cameron was so excited to bring her to school and show all the kids.  I brought an Easter basket to put Lovey Girl in to take all the kids pictures.  It turned out to be a huge success and the kids LOVED her...at least I think. :)

After the kids took turns with Lovey Girl, playing musical chairs, making a jewel cross, and eating a yummy snack, they all headed outside for the "Big Egg Hunt!"  Every kid brought 12 filled eggs.  Each kid was assigned a number and had to find the eggs with their number.  This allowed for every kid to get the same amount of eggs with a variety of treats.  They all LOVED the egg hunt and the weather was great!

This was the best picture I could get of all the kids...better than nothing I guess. :)

Cameron was SO excited about her eggs!

Jaylee's 2nd Birthday Bash

We celebrated celebrated Jaylee's birthday this past weekend (April 16)...full out "lady bug" theme.  We couldn't have asked for better weather (~85 degrees, sunny, and NO wind), especially since we had a flood last year during her party.  Jaylee had everything from a bounce house with slide (thanks Kendra/Kerry), lady bug pinata, balloons, hot dogs, and cake/cupcakes.  There were about 15 kids who celebrated Jaylee's big day, as well as about 15-20 adults.  My sister, her husband, and sweet baby girl even made the 3 hour drive just for the party.  The kids played so hard and were at times trying to get in the pool to "cool off." I can honestly say Jaylee is so loved by so many people, young and old.  She is such a sweet, funny girl who is fearless an d changing everyday.  I can't imagine our family without her.  We love you Jaylee Anne!!!  (Below are some pics from the party...beware, there are SEVERAL!)

Love this picture of Jaylee...she's such a happy girl.

Cameron and Mommy...Cameron had to bring a baby doll because she had a matching outfit for her.

One of many times down the slide...she LOVED it!!!

What an innocent smile...

BFF's Ellie and Cameron...don't know what Cameron was doing in this picture. :)

Here the big girls are REALLY wanting to get in the pool.

Patiently waiting for cake!!!

Blow out the candles and dig in!!!  Big sis had to get in on the action also.

This was actually a cake made out of cupcakes...much easier than a regular cake.

Pinata time!!!

Jaylee taking a few hits at the pinata!!! She is sooooo serious about hitting that thing with the bat.

My sister and her baby girl, Caris.  Caris wasn't sure what to think of all the activity.

Kids gathering their "treasures" from the pinata.

One of Jaylee's favorites...an orange tootsie pop!

Sisterly love and our babies!!!

Grandaddy and Jaylee...she LOVES her Grandaddy as you can see. :)

Caris finally got brave enough to try-out the bounce house...of course, Jaylee went with her.

This is the family picture after everyone left the party.  Not the greatest, but we were ALL worn out!
Happy Birthday Jaylee...we love you very much!

Relay for Life 2011

I participated in Relay for Life last weekend.  I was on the HES team and truly had a blast.  It's great knowing that we were all raising money for a great cause and having a blast at the same time.  There was so much going on from Zumba (which I still refuse to participate in...i have no rhythm), Tumble Bus and bounce housesfor the kids, cake walks, pie throwing contests, great food, and live bands throughout the day.  Randi recruited me to do the box car race with her.  We had to run around the track inside a cardboard sdonkey...I'm sure that was a sight to see, but we won the race so it made it worth it.  Randi and Angie Duncan did an excellent job creating the donkey boxcar.  Cameron and Jaylee spent the afternoon/evening with me at the track.  However, I rarely saw them because they were to busy running around playing with their friends.  I can't wait to participate next year and raise some more money to hopefully find a cure for cancer!!!!

All of the preschools combined to sing some songs for the crowd/walkers. It was so cute seeing all the kids sing their hearts out.

Cameron and Kaidence, one of her friends from Little Learning Ranch.

Cameron and Kaidence must have pulled Jaylee and Jayden (Kaidence's sister) around the track in this wagon 10 times.  The little girls LOVED it and the big girls got to release A LOT of energy.  :)

Here is the official HES "boxcar" donkey...so cute!!!  We had so much fun.
