Love Is In the Air!

I am really late posting this past Valentine's day.  Cameron, Jaylee, and I all got the stomach virus AGAIN, (2nd time since Christmas), so we were out of comission for about 2 weeks.  We had a great Valentine's day doing absolutely nothing but hanging out with family.  Cameron had a fun party at school, then we ate a big steak dinner at John's parents' house.  It was wonderful!  I didn't get any pics from Cameron's school party, but I did manage to get a few of the girls dressed up in the "LOVE" shirts.  (My friend, Sheila Wheeler, made the adorable shirts and bows.) I was just telling the John the other day how Cameron and Jaylee are playing so well together lately and showing love to one another.

"Rowdy's Angels"

Cameron has started a new sport, which I know absolutely NOTHING about...soccer!  All I know is to kick the ball and try to get it in the goal.  Well, the girls had their first practice this past Monday.  It was a sight to see.  After the girls ran around a while and kicked the ball back and forth to each other, Cameron decided she might actually like soccer.  Of course Jaylee had to get in the action as well...she was running and kicking the soccer ball with the big girls and doing a pretty good job at it.  Cameron has her first game this Saturday, so we'll see how she does.  Unfortunately, I will be out of town...I am so bummed I will miss her first go at soccer!

Cameron's New Hair Syle

Well, I finally did it.  I have been saying for a couple of months that I need to cut Cameron's hair.  So, we finally made it to Kid's Hair Safari and chopped it off.  She didn't just get a trim this time...we took about 5 inches off!  Honestly, I wished I would have cut it a little shorter, but that will have to wait til next time.  Cameron absolutely LOVES it and can not stop looking at her hair in the mirror.  I think it's pretty cute myself.  It makes me a little sad though because her short hair makes her look older.  :(

This picture is just a glimpse of the new short hair.  She is at church with her friend Kirstyn getting ready to sing with her "Angel Choir."

Trying to Get Back Into a Routine!

Not much has gone on in the Belcher family this last week.  Just trying to get back into a routine of work and school after all the days off due to weather.  Jaylee's sitter was sick most of the week, so she was spoiled by Gigi and Grandaddy.  Cameron enjoyed being back with her friends at Little Learning Ranch. I, on the other hand, had a hard time getting back to work.  I was so far behind with paperwork and seeing children after nearly a week off, so I played "catch-up" this week and still didn't get it all done.  Needless to say, I will get caught up eventually.

This past Friday was "RED" day at Little Learning Ranch...all the kids were to come dressed in red.  I am proud to say, all the children followed directions and were decked out from head-to-toe in red.  I left my camera with Ms. Trish to snap a few shots of all the kids in red.  She did a great job of capturing the day.  Cameron LOVES the Little Learning Ranch, all of her friends, and her 2 teachers, (Ms. Trish and Ms. Kelisha).  I don't know what she will do next year without them. :(

Cameron and Ellie giving a big smile for Ms. Trish! These 2 girls have been unseperatable since they were 18 months of age.  They will be starting KG next year together...sniff, sniff.
The whole gang with Ms. Nancy, who comes and does a music class every Friday.  What a great group of kids!

Atlee, Kaidence, Cameron, and Kaitlyn enjoying some "girl time" with feather boas that Ms. Nancy brought for all the girls.

"No More Sippy Cup!" says Jaylee

Here are just a few pics of Jaylee drinking from a juice bottle instead of her usual sippy cup.  She sees Cameron drink from a bottle and thinks that's what she needs to do.  The past few days, Jaylee has refused to drink from a sippy cup.  Honestly, she does a really good job drinking from a regular juice bottle or small cup.  I guess I am just not ready to let my "baby" grow up. :(

Snow Day #2!

Ok, there is only so much snow I can handle.  If you know me, you know I do not enjoy being stuck at home...especially inside the house.  All of this snow/ice is really starting to get old.  Although, I have had some great bonding time with my 2 girls.  I feel like today all I accomplished was eating, breaking up fights, eating some more, doing manicures with hot pink nail polish, breaking up a few more fights, then eating a little more.  Really, it hasn't been that bad, but I am hoping to venture out tomorrow even if it's just to drive to DQ for a drink.  I am starting to have major withdrawls from my DQ drinks.  Below are a few pictures I snapped to capture day #2 stuck at home.

The girls have really been into building tents around house.  They gather every blanket and toy they can find to make the biggest tent.  I honestly remember building tents when I was younger and having a blast.  It must be a girl thing...

Later on this morning, I knew it seemed awfully quiet in the house.  I went to my bedroom and saw this...Cameron and Jaylee taking a break from playing and catching up on some cartoons. And yes, they both are "thumb suckers."  Cameron says she only does it when she is tired.  :)

After a long morning of playing dress-up, doing manicures/pedicures, building tents, doing art, and playing chase, I decided it was time for lunch and then a much needed nap for everyone, (myself included).  Well, we all went down for a nap around 1:30.  At 5 pm, I decided I better wake Jaylee up so she will go to sleep tonight.  I walked into her room and found her sleeping like this...seriously, can this be comfortable???  So cute though!  She has always buried her head up in the corner of the bed, but I have never found her with both legs sticking out of the crib!!!

John made it home from work around 5:30.  I decided he needed to load us girls up in the truck to go riding around.  It was so nice to be out of the house, even if it was just for a while.  We went over to his parents and ate some dinner. I could tell Cameron and Jaylee were excited to be out as much as me.  After we left, we let them play in the snow for a bit before heading in to take baths.  This time, daddy got to join in on the fun with us!

Snow Day= Fun Day!!!

Today, the girls and I spent the day at home due to some deep snow.  I didn't actually believe it would get this bad being that it was so nice this past weekend.  Well, when we woke up this morning, the ground was covered with snow.  The first thing out of Cameron's mouth was "when can I go out and make a snow angel."  So, while Jaylee was still asleep (yes, my baby still sleeps until 9:30-10 am), Cameron and I put our warm clothes on and went outside.  Little did I know, it was ~14 degrees with a wind chill of -1.  It was FREEZING!!!! We stayed outside long enough for Cameron to throw some snow in the air then headed quickly back inside.

The girls and I spent the rest of the morning inside.  Although Cameron froze when she was out in the snow, she continued to ask me when we could go back out and play. I swear she kept asking me every 5 minutes!  I told her if she took a good nap, we would go outside when we all woke up.  So, both girls took great nap and Cameron was ready to go out when she woke up. I dressed both girls in layers of clothes, boots, mittens, coats, and hats.  Finally, I braved the cold for the 2nd time and took the girls out.  The smiles on their faces as they played in the snow made it all worth it.  The only thing that would have made it better would have been having John home to play with us.

Jaylee's 1st time to play in the snow...she LOVED it!!!

Cameron had a blast out in the snow...I loved seeing how happy she was!

After Jaylee saw Cameron throwing snow in the air, she thought she would give it a try. First, she had to figure out how to get the snow in her huge mittens.

Finally, Jaylee got enough snow to throw in the air.  :)

What a fun day we had...Cameron & Jaylee LOVED every minute of it!
